The Nairobi Hospital Champions Strategic Workforce Wellness

Nairobi, November 11, 2025 — The Nairobi Hospital has once again demonstrated its leadership in healthcare innovation and corporate partnership by hosting a high-level strategic engagement with Human Resource Directors from leading organizations across Kenya.
Themed “Strategic Workforce Wellness as the Science Behind High-Performing Cultures,” the session highlighted the growing importance of employee wellness as a driver of productivity, retention, and organizational culture.

A New Chapter in Corporate-Healthcare Collaboration

The event created a platform for open dialogue between healthcare leaders and corporate decision-makers, focusing on how wellness can shape stronger, more sustainable workplaces.

Chief Executive Officer Mr. Felix Osano underscored the hospital’s dedication to improving healthcare access and strengthening corporate relationships.

> “Our outreach efforts have made it possible to have meaningful dialogues with our partners, which we believe will widen the impact of our universal healthcare goal,” said Mr. Osano.

Dr. Barcley Onyambu, Chair of the Kenya Hospital Association Board, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that The Nairobi Hospital’s vision extends beyond treatment.

> “At our hospital, people are not just part of the process — they are the purpose. Every policy, innovation, and success story begins and ends with our people.”

Wellness as a Strategic Business Lever

Globally, organizations are recognizing that wellness is not just a benefit but a strategic imperative. The World Health Organization (WHO) and International Labour Organization (ILO) now identify mental health as a key determinant of economic productivity.

This evolving perspective aligns with The Nairobi Hospital’s integrated approach to wellness — combining physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing into its care philosophy.

Leading the Way in Holistic Health

For decades, The Nairobi Hospital has stood as a center of medical excellence in East Africa, known for treating complex conditions and investing in advanced medical technology and specialist expertise. Through partnerships with corporate organizations, the hospital continues to promote wellness as a performance catalyst, reinforcing its mission to support healthier, more productive workforces.

DCI boss Amin: Gachagua not under probe over June 25 protest chaos

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Mohamed Amin, has dismissed reports suggesting that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is under investigation in relation to the violent scenes that erupted during the June 25 anniversary protests. Speaking to the media on Monday, Amin denied the reports, saying, "It is not true that we summoned Gachagua."  However, he made it clear that the former Deputy President, like all citizens, is not above the law.  “He does not enjoy any immunity from prosecution. If in our investigations he is found to have aided or abetted any criminal activity, then appropriate action will be taken,” Amin stated. Providing an official update on the violence witnessed last Wednesday, the DCI boss described the events of June 25 as a tragic hijacking of peaceful protests by coordinated criminal elements.  "What began as a peaceful demonstration turned into violence, orchestrated by well-organized actors who invaded the protests...
