These units are offered under a rent-to-own scheme, with monthly payments ranging from Ksh3,900 for bedsitters to Ksh5,000 for two-bedroom apartments. Economic Impact and Future Plans
The project has already injected approximately Ksh11 billion into construction and neighborhood development, with projections estimating a total economic infusion of Ksh28 billion upon completion. The land for the Mukuru project was reclaimed by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in 2020 after being illegally acquired for over two decades. Originally owned by the Kenya Meteorological Department, the 56-acre parcel was valued at Ksh5 billion. The Environment and Lands Court ordered the cancellation of illegal titles and barred the involved firms from trespassing.ct is managed by three contractors: Vaghjiyani Enterprises (bedsitter blocks), Epco Builders (one-bedroom units), and Top Choice Surveillance (two-bedroom apartments).
